Hawaiian Music Live presents a special live streamcast on Saturday, August 19th starting at 4:30pm (HST) from the Made in Hawaiʻi Festival at the Neal Blaisdell Center and the 9th Annual Kani Ka Pila Grille Talent Search!  Who will win the one-Month paid contract with KKPG and studio recording and electronic press kit from HCC's MELE Studios?

Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort invites up-and-coming music artists to enter this contest that could put you on the path to stardom! 


Finalists will invited to perform at the Made in Hawaii Festival on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 3:30 pm - 8 pm in front of a distinguished panel of judges:
Bobby Moderow, Grammy-nominated slack key guitar master and member of Maunalua, Na Hoku Hanohano award-wining Group of the Year
Pali Kaaihue, president of Hawaii Academy of Recording Artists
Eric Lagrimas, instructor of Music & Entertainment Business, MELE at HCC
Luana Mailtand, music director, Kani Ka Pila Grille 


One-month paid contract to perform at Kani Ka Pila Grille on Saturday evenings September 2, 9, 16, 30.

Made in Hawaii Festival is a 3-day extravaganza of food, fashion, crafts, and live entertainment held August 19-21, 2016 at the Neal Blaisdell Exhibition Hall and Arena in Honolulu.

Mike Curb MELE Studios at Honolulu Community College supports an associate degree program in music business and audio engineering. The Music and Entertainment Learning Experience (MELE) offers local students opportunities to pursue careers in the music industry.The program is affiliated with Mike Curb College of Entertainment & Music Business at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.
