Witness a rising star in the Hawaiian music scene play along with one of its most accomplished veterans as Blayne Asing and Jon Yamasato take the stage for this month’s Music of Hawai‘i concert.
Blayne Asin is the recipient of the 2016 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award for Most Promising Artist. In 2015, he released his first, Young, Old Soul, which immediately gained heavy radio play.
Jon Yamasato is a singer-songwriter with 20 years in the music business. After beginning his musical career in the band Pure Heart, Yamasato traveled the world with Hawai‘i music legends Dennis Kamakahi and Herb Ohta Jr. He is also one of the founders of the YouTube channel HI*Sessions, which features live performances by and interviews with local artists and boasts over 67,000 subscribers.
This is not Yamasato and Asing’s first time performing together, nor is it likely to be their last, and you’ll see why—something special happens when these two share a stage.
